Job Description
Oak Street Medical Primary Care, of Praxis Health, is seeking a Medical Office Assistant with outstanding customer service skills and a collaborative team spirit. This is a great opportunity for a sharp high school student (or graduate) looking to get their foot in the door to the medical field. If you are interested in possibly becoming a Medical Assistant one day, this could be a great fit for you!
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supply inventory, unpacking supplies and putting it away, faxing, room stocking and additional duties.This will be a PRN position, working 10 hours per week.

Schedule:PRN, 10 hours per week
Essential Job Functions:
Room Stocking
Shred and Sharps containers
Unpacking supplies and putting them away
Supply inventory
Faxing
Laundry and folding of gowns
Kitchen cleanup
Medication cabinet and expired samples
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
1 year customer service experience
Typing Skills: 45 wpm minimum
Experience in a medical office setting preferred, but not required.

General Physical Requirements
Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.
