GENERAL PURPOSE
Develop the schedule for production at the highest level which products will be stocked or planned either prior to shipment or prior to assembly for made to order operations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Translate orders into a sequential work schedule
· Analyze production specifications and capacity date and perform mathematical calculations to determine production processes and tools
· Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times
· Plan sequence of operations
· Communicate with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
· Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Undergraduate degree in business or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
· 2 to 5 years of production planning or related experience
· Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
· Knowledge and understanding of planning and production methodologies
· Strong understanding of plant processes in relation to production processes for each line
· Skill in analytical thinking
· Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities
· Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
· Able to to conduct research into issues or situations
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
