Actalent Director Of Operations in Englewood, Colorado

Medical engineering manufacturer is seeking a Director of Operations to lead their current production team. Leadership and technical hands on experience is required. ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom manufcaturing for mechanical, medical, aerospace, automotive or industrial product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Assembly Operations & Quality department including people and resource management

  • Provides department management oversight to achieve efficiency, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction

  • Provides training, performance feedback, and management support to team members

  • Promotes high quality, collaborative team performance

  • Schedules and oversees all assembly builds (new builds and rebuilds/repairs)

  • Manages/maintains Assembly parts inventory, and department tools and supplies

  • Reads blueprints and BOM’s to verify the parts required prior to assembly

  • Coordinates with purchasing to order parts or materials needed for assembly or repairs

  • Actively participates in the assembly of our products according to prints, specifications and customer requirements

  • Establishes department quality standards and related processes to ensure consistently high-quality output

  • Verifies quality of purchased components and works with Purchasing to resolve any issues

  • Reviews any quality issues and improvement opportunities with management on a regular cadence

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years experience as a Director of Operations

  • Bachelor's of Engineering with technical background

  • Experience building custom equipment or similar technology

  • Experience working on a manufacturing floor

  • Preferred industries: Medical Device
