Greater Southern Tier BOCES STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR in Elmira, New York
ANTICIPATED VACANCY
Full-time (1.0 FTE); 8.0 hour day; 12 month position
Designs and delivers evidence-based professional learning in support of GST regional priority areas and component district professional learning and technology plans.
Uses technology to enhance collaboration with colleagues and improve student outcomes.
Integrates Social Emotional Learning and Culturally Responsive-Sustaining principles into all facets of work.
Collaborates and co-plans with BOCES, component district staff, and consultants to build a shared vision, clarify short-term objectives, and measure progress using shared criteria for success.
Analyzes, disseminates, and applies pertinent SED guidance and updates.
Supervises and evaluates staff under APPR regulations, as requested by component districts.
Assists districts with data-informed instructional decision making.
Supports component district teacher mentoring programs.
Attends Regional Instructional Leaders and NYSED/SCDN meetings, as needed or appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires travel across the GST region and to Albany, NY on occasion.
Job Qualifications
Valid New York State certification in School District Administrator
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or school administration
Certified as Lead Evaluator or willing to become certified.
