Job Summary:

We’re searching for a Systems Specialist with experience in Tier 1 MES & SAP who is ready to take on the challenges of providing operational and procedural support! Tier 3 ACCESS CONTROL and DOCUMENT CONTROL experience would also be beneficial. This individual should demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Python, C+ programming languages, MES systems, knowledge of PLC, and manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate should exhibit an understanding of network communications!

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle Tier 1 & 2 MES support operations and Tier 1 SAP.

• Act as a liaison to the MES team.

• Work with diverse applications, like Kronos UKG for HR and QES for quality control.

• Resolve end-user issues in MES and other applications, consulting with team members or external support as necessary.

• Modify Python or SQL scripts as needed (note, this is not a development role).

• Escalate SAP related tickets effectively.

• This position requires on-site work, collaborating closely with one IT support specialist, with the team expected to grow to four.

• Respond to our ticketing system to provide excellent customer support for MES and ERP systems' software and hardware aspects.

• Provide initial level support for MES and ERP services, coordinate escalation and resolution of problems to higher or external support levels.

• Assist in evaluating and providing recommendations for systems and facilities requirements to scale our manufacturing operations and cater to expanding business needs.

• Help supervise the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of networks, applications, and other IT resources.

• Identify and recommend cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

• Possess working knowledge of SQL, .NET, C#, JAVA, SQL/Oracle databases, MES and ERP systems, with a preferred emphasis on SAP.

• Understand PLCs.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as per departmental needs.

  Requirements

Education & Experience/skill sets:

• Should have significant experience in Tier 1 MES and SAP can handle Tier 1 & 2 for other systems efficiently.

• Experience with SQL, Python, and other basic programming languages is essential.

• Understanding of PLC, MES Systems, and network communications.

• Familiarity with HR and quality control systems such as Kronos UKG and QES respectively.

• IT support experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

Working Hours:

This is a fully on-site salaried position, Monday to Friday, with some after hours and weekends on-call availability.

Reporting:

The incumbent will report directly to IT manager and work alongside other IT support specialists.
