Job Description

Teledyne Controls specializes in providing cutting-edge onboard avionics systems and ground-based applications to facilitate efficient data access, management, and utilization for both civil and military aircraft operators.

As a Materials Planner , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and returns throughout our production cycle. Your responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement, as well as maintaining inventory control to support our build plan and meet customer shipment deadlines. This position requires independent decision-making within our company policy framework and demands meticulous attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Release work orders and purchasing requisitions in alignment with the Master Schedule and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to support production and customer shipments.

  • Plan, order, schedule, and monitor material movement throughout the production cycle.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing staff to track work progress, resolve production issues, and ensure timely completion of orders.

  • Maintain control over orders and shipping to sustain on-time delivery metrics.

  • Expedite operations/materials that may delay schedules to mitigate disruptions.

  • Provide weekly production status updates.

  • Review, revise, and manage manufacturing lead-times to optimize efficiency.

  • Identify and address schedule changes that may impact our ability to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

  • Conduct inventory management to align with business goals.

  • Consult with department supervisors to assess the status of assigned projects.

  • Adjust production schedules as necessary due to design changes, resource shortages, or unforeseen conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a related field and 5-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 standards.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen principles.

  • Familiarity with specific software applications related to design, analysis, and ERP systems.

Salary Range:

$74,800.00-$99,880.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
