Job Description:

The Cyber Assessments department within the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center is seeking a senior level Cyber Assessor/Engineer to provide thought leadership and contribute to the large Space Sensing portfolio at MITRE Los Angeles (MILA). The Cyber Assessment department supports all of MITRE by providing a variety of cyber assessment products plus overall cyber engineering skills. The Cyber Assessor/Engineer position will be a core member of the department’s technical team and serve as the first-line support to our Los Angeles based customer. The position requires direct in-person contributions to our Los Angeles based Space Force customer.

Key Functions:

  • Provide proactive and highly responsive technical leadership and project management.

  • Work closely with the Department Manager and members of the leadership team to develop and execute the department's mission, vision, strategy, goals, and objectives.

  • Contribute technically to one or more MITRE Space Force tasks.

  • Provide expert acquisition related cyber to Space Force’s multiple acquisition programs.

  • Collaborate effectively with MITRE, government, and contractors; to effectively communicate in writing, presentations, and collaborative discussions; and able to interface with peers, managers, and sponsors.

  • Promote collaboration and integration with other organizational elements within the department and across the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS and 10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience

  • Secret level security clearance is required for consideration.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, across sponsors, and across MITRE as appropriate and experience leveraging relationships to benefit staff and work programs.

  • Solid understanding and experience with one or more cybersecurity capabilities

  • Solid understanding and experience with operational cyber security practices and commonly used technologies

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Experience leading teams or projects/tasks

  • Documented success using collaborative and adaptive leadership competencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in relevant major

  • Preference given to qualified candidates with high level clearances

  • Experience across MITRE to help group members network and make connections.

Top Secret

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$168,500 - $210,500 - $252,500 Annual
