Brokers Logistics Warehouse Supervisor - Laredo, Tx in El Paso, Texas

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Director of Warehouse Ops., the Warehouse Manager of the Laredo Operation will be responsible for planning, directing or coordinating transportation, storage or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Will also be responsible for supervising all employees, assets, and accounts for the warehouse operation in the Laredo area.

  • Oversees the shipping and receiving departments in order to ensure processes are being followed. May also be required to assist in the receiving and put away processes.
  • Oversees the warehouse inventories and cycle counts.
  • Responsible for researching inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintains and organizes an adequate workforce in order to meet expected goals in a timely manner. Makes recommendations to executive management about staffing needs.
  • Responsible for facility maintenance and equipment.
  • Establishes training procedures for new operations and employees.
  • C reates, modifies, and applies processes and procedures necessary to ensure all operations are performed timely and consistently.
  • Actively participates in Safety Program, to include but not limited to, Hazardous Communications and Emergency Response programs in order to ensure a safe work environment for all persons within the facility, as well as being responsible for responding to emergency notifications for facility.
  • Attends management meetings at assigned locations as required. Conducts and/or participates in Safety meetings.
  • Completes weekly time sheets for all department employees for payroll.
  • Tracks and maintains records for operational output, charged hours, equipment calibration, and IS equipment.
  • Hires, trains, supervises and terminates all personnel at the Laredo facility as required.
  • Administers employee discipline, reviews vacation requests for employees, and conducts annual performance evaluations for subordinate employees.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with relevant ISO standards that impact this position, department and company.
  • Interfaces with other facilities related to expedited shipments, materials, receipts, issues, and areas of concern related to warehouse operations.
  • Ensures all warehouse policies and procedures are being followed to include safety, accurate and timely deliveries, implements changes in policies and procedures within the warehouse.
  • Abides by the company policies and procedures as listed in the Employee Manual or other communicated rules and/or regulations.
