Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech- 2nd Shift. The hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 12:15 pm. The rate for this position is $23.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installation of HVAC, and the landscaping upkeep. Essentially, the goal of a maintenance technician is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition.

• Responsible for conducting maintenance of electrical systems

• Survey the building for repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations

• Maintain the set-up of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary

• Responsible for performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage (window, door, and wall repair)

• You will be responsible for applying preventative maintenance measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems

• You will be required to fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

• You will maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

• You will inspect alarm systems and quickly schedule repairs when needed

• You will need to respond quickly in the event of an emergency to notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols

• You will maintain the compressed air systems within the facility

• You will perform other tasks as required

• You will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors such as electricians, plumbers, and other services required for facility projects

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Minimum 3 years maintenance or relevant experience

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work within the United States without company sponsorship

• No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or a relevant field will be a plus

• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems

• Experience and knowledge of tools, common applications, and devices (including lawnmowers, small hand tools, etc)

• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems

• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building

• Groundskeeping experience

• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees, manage vendors, contractors, etc in a pleasant manner

• Must be well-organized and can prioritize

• Attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

• Effective problem-solving abilities
