Major/Essential Functions:
Provides direct patient care, consultative services, and outpatient services and care of hospitalized patients
Participates in teaching activities, including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching, outpatient teaching, and rounds for medical students and/or residents, and continuing medical education
Advances clinical knowledge through scholarly and research efforts
Performs plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery of the periorbital and facial tissues
Provides on-call coverage, as scheduled
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:
Board Certification in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology
Strong work ethic and good team player

Experience in conducting research and publishing scientific reports

Required Qualifications:
M.D / D.O.
Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency training in ophthalmology
Successful completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery
Texas Medical License or eligible for license in the State of Texas
