Philips Analog / Mixed-signal ASIC Architect in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Job title: Analog / Mixed-signal ASIC Architect

Create meaningful innovations contributing to the growth of Philips through industrial research and strong technological expertise.

Your role:

  • Analog mixed-signal ASIC architecture and design

  • Define, model and simulate highly customized sigma-delta ADC

  • Verify with image reconstruction simulations the proper operation of the ADC.

  • Design on transistor level for quality and robustness.

General profile:

Strong background and experience in analog-to-digital conversion and other mixed-signal functions. Good knowledge and understanding of signal processing theory. At least four years of post-master’s experience in semiconductor industry in design, simulation and layout of analog circuits such as amplifiers, buffers, current sources, etc. Understanding of advanced CMOS technologies in general: working with design rules, understanding process specification documents. Creating simulation test-benches for dc, ac, transient simulations using ADE-L and ADE-XL. Understanding low-noise analog circuit design. Experience with full-custom IC layout design using Cadence tools Virtuoso, Layout-XL, DRC and LVS.

You are a part of:

Currently the ASIC Design Group is part of Philips Medical Systems, MR. The team defines, prototypes and industrializes application specific integration circuits, (chips) for medical and biomedical applications. These CMOS ICs typically include analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits. The candidate will take part in the design of these ICs.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Deep understanding and practical experience with theory and design of sigma-delta analog to digital converters (ADC)

  • Signal processing techniques for analysis and design of sigma-delta ADC Experience with analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits design

  • Experience with modeling in MatLab Simulink is desirable

  • Knowledge of digital decimation filters, ADC post correction techniques is preferred.

  • Basic experience in IC design for medical applications is preferred

  • Strong team player: daily interaction with analog, digital and other system designers.

  • Reporting progress and timely signaling issues.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Experience in system design and system on chip integration.
