Day to Day:

One of Insight Global's retail clients is looking for a Business Analyst/BI Analyst to join their team. Will assist in gathering requirements for the development of interactive PowerBI dashboards, which are used by a variety of business stakeholders for self-service functions. Will be joining a team of 6, consisting of Business Analysts and BI Developers, to help with managing these incoming requests. They will meet with the users to outline and document requirements (i.e. BRDs), provide guidance on PowerBI functionality, create solutions, etc. Will collaborate with development teams on implementation plans and prepare data for testing (UAT). Will need to be proficient in BA competencies, dashboards and visualizations, PowerBI tooling and functionality, data structure and modelling, etc.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically for PowerBI development and solutions

• Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations

• Experience receiving requests from business users and providing guidance on PowerBI functionality/methods

• Experience documenting requirements (BRDs), collaborating with development teams, and preparing data for testing (UAT)

• Experience creating, updating, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries
