Shipping and Receiving Assistant (Temporary, summer student position)
(This posting is directed towards summer students meeting the eligibility requirements below, in Edmonton, Alberta. NOTE - This is a temporary student opportunity for a maximum of 16 weeks.)
Our operations and client services departments are key to the success of our business, and the success of our customers. These departments work together to ensure our customers receive high quality products and customer service. Our teams focus on building, testing, repairing, shipping, and receiving products, building, and integrating larger scale solutions, and providing both on-site and remote technical support to our customers. We are looking for a Receiver to join us in our pursuit to provide our customers with the highest quality products and world-class support.

What You’ll Work On
The Shipping and Receiving Assistant will support our manufacturing department by performing some of the following tasks:
Prepare, monitor, and package all products leaving Campbell Scientific
Package product using the appropriate shipping materials
Use proper electro static discharge methods for the handling of component parts and integrated circuits
Verify product type and quantity matching the sales order precisely
Weigh and record the number of boxes in each package/shipment
Confirm the correct address for each shipment
Create the necessary documentation for international shipments
Assisting with the acceptance of all incoming products, while quickly and thoroughly inspecting incoming boxes/products for damage.
Performing cycle counting and data entry
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of your first year completed in a supply chain management (or related program) at a recognized post-secondary institution
Ability to use cameras, photocopy, and scanning equipment.
The ability to work in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level or better.
Comfortable lifting equipment up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Eligibility Requirements
Registered full-time or part-time in a publicly funded Canadian post-secondary institution in any program (International students with a work permit are not eligible)
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has ben conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
The WIL (Work Integrated Learning) experience must be recognized by the student's post secondary institution to be eligible, or the student is able to obtain an email or note from the post secondary institution acknowledging that this opportunity is a good fit for the student and their program
Eligible work placements can include cooperative education, internships, field placements, and applied research projects
Work Environment
This is an electronics manufacturing facility.
Physical Requirements
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time to complete work and lifting up to 50 pounds frequenty, or occasionally up to 100 pounds.
