Description

A national services company is seeking a Staff Accountant with one+ years of accounting experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in general accounting, cash reconciliation, and financial reporting. This is a new position created to due the growth of the company. A degree in accounting along with strong Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities include:

• Track and analyze expenses, including legal fees, travel, entertainment, and corporate cards.

• Process journal entries for monthly accruals, consolidations, intercompany balances, and more.

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all entities.

• Monitor and record deferred items like taxes and premium receivables.

• Compile and monitor invoices for joint insurance fund members and policyholders.

• Preparing fixed asset schedules.

• Oversee treasury functions, handling deposits, ACH transitions, check payments, and managing positive pay exceptions in coordination with Accounts Payable.
