Insight Global Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Job Description

A client of Insight Global in the public transportation space is looking to hire a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their team on the 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:00pm CST, M-F). This person will join a team that works on a variety of vehicles, including transit buses, coach buses, cut-away buses, minivans, trucks, and trailers. They'll have the opportunity to work on diesel, gas, and a growing number of electric vehicles as well. Day to day responsibilities will revolve around performing preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on the vehicle fleet resulting in vehicles that are safe to operate. This candidate would be able to qualify for either a Tech A or Tech B level position depending on years of experience and knowledge of the industry.

This client is an award-winning public transit agency located in Eden Prairie, MN, a nationally-ranked suburb of Minneapolis. This role is permanent and on-site, and we are looking to pay anywhere between $50,000-$70,000 base salary depending on experience and qualifications. There is also a $3/hr shift deferential that will be added on top of the base pay. Skills and Requirements

High School Degree or GED

2+ years of vehicle maintenance experience

Possession of a Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B, with passenger endorsement (if not currently held, must be obtained within 12 months of employment and the company will assist with this process)

Possession of a valid medical examiner certificate as per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Familiarity with Computers: Maintenance Software, and basic skills in Microsoft Office Experience working on busses, coach busses, electric vehicles, and cutaway busses

Ability to read electrical schematics and experience working on engines/transmissions null
