Job Title: Sr. Scrum Master (PLM Teamcenter)

Location: Minneapolis, MN or Forest City, Iowa

Pay Range: $55/hr - $75/hr

Summary

This Sr. Scrum Master will help lead a workstream focused on Siemens PLM Teamcenter development, configuration, and implementation. They will be essential in coordinating with other dependent initiative programs.

Responsibilities

Servant Leader to agile team

• Facilitates completion of work, using a servant-leadership style and approach fostering creativity, empowerment, cooperation, communication, and productivity.

• Identify impediments, removing those that prevent the team from making progress and escalating issues.

• Enables the team to be self-organizing and operating to maximize productivity while continuously improving.

• Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.

• Facilitate getting the work done using discussion and decision-making techniques without dictating overall assignments.

• Focuses the entire team on frequent delivery of high-value, high-quality outcomes.

• Assess the maturity of the team and coach the team to achieve higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable for the team.

• Positively Influences team health, build trust and ownership within the team.

• Staying up-to date on the health of their team. This involves understanding what is going on inside the team, what the state of their morale is, and what they are trying to do to improve the team. This also includes coaching them through issues when they occur.

Agile Delivery Practices

• Guides the team and organization on how to use agile practices and values, using appropriate Scrum, Kanban, XP, or other agile frameworks as needed.

• Arrange and facilitate events and decision-making processes which may include product backlog refinement, estimating and sizing effort, release planning, demos, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Ensures team goals and any performance metrics are identified and managed.

• Helps coach the team on reducing interdependencies.

• Assists with internal and external collaboration and communications.

Partner

• Encourage collaboration with the team and the business partners while ensuring delivery of value on a regular and frequent basis.

• Facilitates the gathering of user and technical-stories and welcomes rapidly changing requirements to improve the product outcomes as business needs change.

• Supports overall team by negotiating and advocating for team with stakeholders, helping to resolve conflict, minimizing distraction/disruption, and providing direct mentorship when needed.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Project Management or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training).

• 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Technology Consulting and Support to include:

o Knowledge of Lean, Scrum Kanban, Extreme Programming, or similar frameworks.

o Leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, guide the creation of a self-organizing team and be assertive in adhering to Agile concepts and principles.

o Effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to connect and engage a team, facilitate discussion, advocate for team and negotiate with business/corporate areas, mentor/coach team members and resolve conflict.

o Perceptive with strong listening skills and willingness to identify issues and work to resolve or elevate them.

o Must be comfortable working under pressure, working with multiple levels of management, having demanding goals, and serving diverse customers.

o Proven success collaborating with self-directed teams.

o Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

o Comfortable with Agile concepts, processes, and tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne, Azure DevOps).

• 2+ years as a Scrum Master leading agile teams in a large, complex organization.

Additional Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Scrum Master leading agile teams in a large, complex organization.

• Leadership experience leading technical and/or functional team members with proven ability to create an atmosphere of mentoring, quality, diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement by actively coaching.

• Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, or similar certification.

• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, etc.

• Active participant in Agile Community of Practices.

• Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
