In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements - Journal entries experience preferred

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• High attention to detail

• Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
