ABOUT YOU
As an Assistant Network Operations Manager, you will be passionate about ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our network at Massport. As the backbone of our operations, you will possess expertise in network infrastructure, particularly with Extreme Networks devices, and strong leadership skills to motivate and nurture a team of engineers. With adept problem-solving, project management abilities, and a commitment to 99.99% uptime, you’ll effectively manage complex projects and maintain reliability. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will keep us ahead in this fast-paced digital landscape.
What you will do:
Lead and motivate Massport's network staff to achieve shared goals.
Cultivate the skills and performance of network engineers.
Optimize organizational resources through strategic resource allocation.
Serve as a liaison and negotiator for network infrastructure matters.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Strong management capabilities with 5-10 years of management and hands-on technical experience.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
Working knowledge of hardware, software, telecommunications, and network components.
Experience with DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, network analyzers, and network mapping tools, along with a minimum of 5 years hands-on configuration experience with network switches and routers.
