Responsibilities

Individual is responsible for maintaining and supporting all FDMC standard PC hardware, software and peripherals. Responsibilities include the tracking and documentation problem tickets though the use of the Ticket Tracking System. This individual will assess, evaluate and determine warranty status of hardware issues. Individual will work with users on purchase requests, helping them identify needs and evaluating purchasing requests.

Qualifications

Education: Associates degree preferred from a college or accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc: Technical certifications preferred.

Must have knowledge in troubleshooting a variety of computer hardware and their applicability to computer systems. Incumbent must have knowledge on a variety of computer application programs and their applicability to computer system operations. Incumbent must have knowledge of operating system software. Must posses the skill to recognize, analyze, and resolve hardware and software problems in a stand alone or network environment; and in the use of computers and related equipment in a stand-alone or local area network environment. Incumbent must be able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
