Allstate Sales and Leasing Corp. d/b/a Allstate Peterbilt Group seeks E-Commerce Data Scientists based in Eagan, MN. Multiple openings available. Duties include: Analyze data on e-commerce sales of vehicle parts for medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including consumer trends and trucking industry patterns, for the company s direct-to-consumer website, and use this data analysis to make recommendations to management about how to optimize direct-to-consumer e-commerce sales of vehicle parts; Work closely with team to understand and respond to the company s analytical needs as relates to e-commerce operations, including developing key performance indicators for the company s direct-to-consumer website; Use automated tools like Web Scraper and Google Analytics to collect or extract data from primary and secondary sources; Perform data analysis such as profiling, cleaning, and validating to assess the quality and meaning of data; Use tools such as advanced Excel, SPSS and SAS to work with raw data, identify trends, and evaluate this data in order to support the e-commerce team in decision-making process; Manipulate the data using statistical software to identify, analyze and interpret consumer trends or patterns, including creating, testing, and applying algorithms and data models; Manage the database with proper optimization so it maintains data quality and analytics efficiency; Use data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, to assist with data presentations to management and other stakeholders; Present data analysis findings and make business recommendations to management or other key stakeholders; Make recommendations for updates to the direct-to-consumer website based on the data analytics and market trends, including acting as liaison with ecommerce delivery, ecommerce merchandising, marketing, licensing, IT, legal and other cross functional teams within the company to implement the recommended changes; and Develop methodology and processes for prioritization of the recommended website updates and other e-commerce projects, using data analytics to determine which projects are most urgent. Position requires Bachelor s degree in data science, computer science, information technology, or closely related field, with at least two data courses during the bachelor's degree program.
