Your role at Clorox:

Build competitive advantage for Clorox by developing compelling, holistic and objective Category and / or Shopper Insights that enable category growth strategies at retail and position Clorox as industry experts

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with key stakeholders in Business Units, Field Sales Teams and Insights Pillars to develop and manage category-centered, shopper-based market research & insights learning plans that enable success of business priorities

  • Own, synthesize and scale learning plan insights leveraging a combination of new custom market research, existing insights as well as internal / DIY tools and 3rd party shopper data sources to develop holistic category / shopperpoints of view with actionable conclusions linked to business priorities

  • Partner with business owners (e.g. Category Center Advisor, Field Sales, Business Unit Leadership)to develop shopper-based category growth stories and retail activation guidance that will ultimately influence the assortment, shelf and merchandising strategy and plans with key retail partners

  • Play a critical role in engaging both Brand and Customer Teams, enabling category growth strategies and connected customer plans to deliver on shared objectives

What we look for:

  • EXPERIENCE: 6-8+ years CPG Insights experience; experience in a retail-facing capacity highly preferred​

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience; MBA desirable

  • BUSINESS ACUMEN: A proven record of understanding and translating business needs and issues into targeted Insights learning plans that deliver actionable insights to grow the business

  • COMMUNICATION: Proven experience developing and conveying credibility with partners and stakeholders including Business Units, Sales and Retail Buyers via excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • INSIGHTS / DATA SAVVY & STORYTELLING: Comfort with custom research methodoloigies (qual & quant) and vendor management and savvy leveraging multiple sources of data including 3rd party shopper data tools (e.g. Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, Kantar) and existing insightsto develop compelling insights stories that spark growth

  • PRIORITIZATION: Operates with discipline and rigor while remainingflexible to shift focus when required; ability to prioritize the critical work to drive the business forward

  • PROACTIVITY & CURIOSITY: Natural drive and interest to understand the 'what' and the 'why' behind category and shopper dynamics to uncover opportunities for Retailer & Clorox growth

  • CONNECTION: Ability to develop strong rapport and collaborate across cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects and supplier relationships

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100

–Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100

–Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
