Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed’s Wafer Operations team is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our team. In this role you will drive continuous improvement in the Global Materials organization through the installation of equipment and design of modifications. You will own multiple projects at one time and be responsible for the management of the projects. You will be responsible for tracking critical metrics and improving those metrics.
The person in this role will work a M-F, 7a-4p schedule in support of our 24x7 Materials operations at our Durham, NC headquarters.
The Day-to-Day:
Manage capital expansion projects from budgeting to installation to production.
Own continuous improvement projects aimed at improving yield, throughput, uptime, and safety.
Run multiple projects concurrently with little supervision.
Own toolsets and be responsible for tracking and improving critical metrics for uptime.
Mechanical, electrical, networking, computer, coding, PLC, vacuum, and toxic gas troubleshooting.
This Job is Right for You if You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably semiconductor
Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and projects
MS Office suite proficiency
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
This role requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
