Description Hospice Clinical Operations Manager, RN - Full Time 1.0 FTE M-F 8am-4:30pm Flexible Schedule Occasional On-call & Weekend Rotation. Ecumen Hospice is hiring a Hospice Clinical Operations Manager for its location in Duluth, Minnesota. Ecumen Hospice is a non-profit, Medicare-certified hospice that has been providing life-honoring care in Minnesota for almost 30 years. We serve those who are experiencing a life-limiting condition and the people that are closest to them, through a comprehensive offering of services which include but are not limited to: physician oversight, nursing, social work, spiritual care, hospice aide assistance, music therapy, massage therapy, volunteer services, pet therapy, and bereavement care. The Hospice Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for improving the clinical operations for the Hospice program. The Clinical Operations Manager will assist the Hospice Clinical Director with the implementation of patient care policies and achieving the objectives of the Hospice agency. This position will also provide direct supervision of the clinical staff. Essential Job Responsibilities: Provides leadership and direction to hospice aides. Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, continuing education, and performance management of hospice aides. Maintains knowledge and compliance of current hospice legal, regulatory and compliance issues. Communicates with the Hospice nursing team to assure the highest quality of care is being delivered/maintained for each patient. Ensures customers and referral sources are provided excellent customer service. Assigns admissions of Hospice patients to appropriate nursing personnel. Oversees the interdisciplinary medical record to ensure all phases of documentation and treatments support effective patient care. Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, setting priorities, and developing the plan of care. Participates in community education activities that promote the utilization of the Medicare Hospice benefit. Other duties as assigned. Clinical Operations Manager Minimum Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing 1+ years management or supervisory experience in hospice. Licensure/Certification: RN in Minnesota, CPR and Basic First Aid Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations Must possess a thorough understanding of Federal and State Regulations, Care planning, Medicare and other reimbursement systems or the willingness to obtain training in these areas.
