Performance & Reward Specialist (Global)

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

The Team:

The Global Performance & Reward team is a centre of excellence (COE) within the HR function with accountability for reward governance and compliance and the development and management of our reward frameworks globally.

Our international team has grown over the past number of years, and we are looking for a Global Performance and Reward Specialist to support the delivery of key reward programs and drive our Performance and Reward Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow their career in a truly Global role; with a supportive and engaged team as we seek to optimise new and existing technology to deliver our programs to over 41,150 employees in 45 Countries.

It’s also an exciting time in the area of pay transparency and equity, with significant change still to come. This role with be a critical contributor to ICON meeting those legislative requirements as they continue to evolve and become embedded as they are brought into law across North America and EMEA initially and globally over time.

This role will report to the Performance & Reward manager supporting with HR reward programmes and projects across global compensation and more broadly on gender & minority pay gap reporting, pay transparency and pay equity as well as fixed and variable compensation (including short/long term incentives).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Reward team to deliver annual performance & reward compensation review process via plan design, configuration, metrics/reporting, communications and programme delivery working with key senior internal stakeholders.

  • Contributor to ICON Total Reward strategy through effective management and development of international reward information relating to fixed and variable pay.

  • Supports participation in international salary surveys & industry forums/networks.

  • Supporting the developing of HR analytics, metrics/dashboard for reporting to illustrate the cost and effectiveness of evolving reward practices, programs, and policies.

  • Support and build relationships with internal HR partners including HR Service Centre, TA & HRM teams through effective communication & education.

  • Actively seeks opportunities to continuously improve data/information quality and effectiveness, leveraging existing HR systems and technology to maximize information value & communication.

  • Assist with ad-hoc Reward and Performance projects and tasks as needed.

  • Serve as a point of contact for queries related to compensation and recognition.

  • Ensure that global gender & minority pay gap reporting, pay transparency and ESG governance, compliance and metrics are developed, smoothly managed, supported and maintained in line with legal and regulatory requirements from a reward perspective.

  • Work closely with the Reward team to ensure our processes and controls (in particular across our job architecture, salary ranges and compensation planning process) are appropriate, compliant and fit for purpose in the context of pay transparency.

  • Ensure that our processes, policies and philosophy with respect to gender and minority pay gap reporting and pay transparency is effectively communicated to employees and the business.

  • Keep up to date and interpret new legal, regulatory, compliance and market developments with respect to Reward (in particular with respect to gender/minority pay & pay transparency) making recommendations where plans or policies may need review etc.

  • Ability to gather and analyze data to advice to support stakeholders regarding interpreting policy, plans to support employee retention, the financial impact of decisions etc.;

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years progressive experience in a reward/compensation, finance (Accounting/Tax/Payroll) or HR role in consulting or industry.

  • Suitable academic qualifications at Professional, Degree or Masters level.

  • International experience is preferred for this role as this will be a global role

  • Self-starter & self-sufficient with proven ability to consistently work on own initiative / independently, demonstrate accountability/ownership, deliver high quality output seamlessly within agreed deadlines and manage/balance multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and drive, is agile/adaptable and is strong at working with urgency under pressure to a high standard in a dynamic business.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and strong time management, prioritisation and project management skills covering all aspects of projects from planning to execution/delivery.

  • Strong business acumen, team contributor/collaborator and personal development/self-awareness skills.

  • Results orientated & practical with unstructured problem solving and decision making/strategic thinking expertise.

  • Analytical with strong data analysis/excel acumen with ability to provide practical recommendations to leadership and HR teams (with a focus on driving efficiencies and cost effectiveness).

  • Excellent communicator and should possess strong facilitation/presentation and vendor/stakeholder management skills. Experience working with senior and executive leaders an advantage.

  • Experience developing, documenting, improving, and streamlining processes and controls.
