Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishings, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. The resort offers 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Residences and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East. The resort offers Sinbad’s Kids Club complete with splash park, nightlife destination Music Hall and a collection of eight diverse restaurants which offer a vibrant selection of culinary experiences. About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader in Rooms Reservations at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Take ownership of the training plan and the agreed standards of performance for the department to deliver the brand promise to our employees.

  • Ensures the smooth and efficient daily operation of the reservation operation, ensuring everyone contacting the Reservations Department receives an optimum level of services and care at all times.

  • Carry out regular spot checks within the department to ensure that the standards outlined in the Step by Step’s are being adhered to.

  • Motivate colleagues and provide a work environment which brings out the best in team members.

  • Carry out, supervise, and record cross training within the department as required, and within the guideline requirements of the group during the absence of Reservations Manager.

  • Conduct & document training and coaching for Reservations Sales Agents in the areas of telephone selling as directed by Revenue Manager and/or Reservations Manager.

  • Ensure that the 24 hour arrival report check is carried out on a daily basis and make sure that all guest information is duly entered

  • Review all incoming correspondence and distribute to the reservation colleagues for action.

  • Assist the Sales Agents in their duties as required and takes full responsibility in absence of Reservation Manager.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience within the Reservations Department as Room Reservations Sales Agent/Room Reservations Coordinator

  • Educational Qualification in Sales or Revenue Department

  • Excellent PMS knowledge

  • 2nd language (Arabic, Russian, German, ...) preferable

Skills

  • Excellent level of English

  • Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point

  • Excellent communicator

  • Friendly, approachable and professional
