DOYLESTOWN HOSPITAL Housekeeping Aide - Environmental Services in DOYLESTOWN, Pennsylvania

To perform all Housekeeping and Housekeeping related duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and aesthetic environment for customers, visitors, and associates of Doylestown Hospital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areas
- Removes & disposes of different waste streams according to hospital policy.
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient & staff experience
- Identifies and reports broken or faulty equipment, safety hazards and patient safety risks.
- Actively participates in Departmental meetings, in-services, required training, competency assessment and takes corrective action to improve performance.
- Consistently follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize the risk of cross contamination and reduce the spread of infection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
- Experience: Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred.
- Other Skills: Able to competently perform the following:
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment and of waste disposal and soiled linen handling procedures
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics
