Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who can perform quality work within deadlines, interact professionally with other employees and customers, work effectively as a team contributor, and work independently while communicating and coordinating work efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft new and revised components using AutoCAD and 3D AutoDesk Inventor.

• Create 3D models of components and machines using sound engineering judgment to ensure proper fit and function.

• Perform analyses to define the most efficient design in terms of weight, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Complete detailed part drawings for new and old designs and processes.

• Send out new product releases and Engineering Change Notices to production, purchasing, and outside vendors.

• Work closely with all departments within the company and outside vendors.

• Manage projects from start to end.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

• Internship or 1+ years of experience.

• Proficiency in any CAD package, with a preference for AutoDesk Inventor.

• Ability to manage projects from start to end.

• Knowledge of material and manufacturing processes.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Experience with finite element analysis.

• For entry level, a GPA of 3.0 and above.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical and product design principles.

• Experience in product and machine design.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication and coordination skills.
