Job Summary

The Salesforce Analyst/Administrator reports directly to the Director, Salesforce Applications and performs technology business analyst and administrator responsibilities for a commercial real estate owner/operator. This role will serve as a vital bridge between the business and Salesforce technology and act as a trusted advisor on all things Salesforce.

The Salesforce Analyst Administrator gathers and documents business requirements, including technical specifications, frequent issues/resolutions for helpdesk to assist with, and performs 2nd level application support. They participate in and contribute to the support, project management, strategy, product roadmaps, documentation and training for all new and enhanced applications supporting the business processes goals, work closely with other application teams. Application support includes but is not limited to Salesforce, and it’s related/integrated software, such as Nintex, DealSumm, DealPath, and Box.

Responsibilities

  • Configure technical aspects of Salesforce, including but not limited to, flows, fields, lightning pages, record types, custom settings, reports, dashboards, and all aspects of user end license management including users, roles, profiles, permission sets, and public groups, sharing and security (OWD)

  • Administer the user setup and system configuration for applications

  • Respond to daily user requests, issues or assignments. Work closely with the IT Helpdesk to document progress and resolution within the company ticketing and project management system, escalating issues to vendors when needed

  • Provide thorough, regular status updates to the manager regarding workload, project status, priorities, and issues/roadblocks needing resolution or escalation

  • Perform business and technical requirements, analysis, and design work, creating appropriate documentation for use in estimating and specifying project work and timelines

  • Act as a liaison with application vendors on security functions, technical system configurations, change management, upgrades, up-time, planned outages, and any issues that arise, and perform daily reviews and resolution of support requests

  • Review, create and update documentation in shared knowledge base, and assist in the development of training materials and presentations

  • Collaborate with others in the project lifecycle using standard tools for creating and tracking requirements, managing projects, development and working with business and outside users

  • Support a variety of users with divergent needs and skill levels while providing exceptional customer service in person, via remote assist, phone and email as appropriate

  • Translate user needs into viable solutions

  • Design, test and implement changes to a system and/or systems, ensure software works properly after maintenance and testing

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience (required)

  • Certification as Salesforce Administrator (required)

  • A minimum of 2-4 years in Salesforce or a related application, preferably with significant work in leasing and legal applications support systems (required)

  • Experience working in the commercial real-estate industry, with familiarity across a vertically integrated development, construction, and property management processes

  • Experience participating on technical teams in the architecture, development and integration planning and execution of applications

  • Experience working with business partners gathering and documenting business requirements to create technical specifications, plans and business cases for projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex issues or, when appropriate, escalate them to appropriate teams or external vendors

  • Ability to think conceptually to ensure all parts of an application function together and as intended using problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues

  • Good written and verbal communication and prioritization skills; customer-service oriented; ability to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously; works independently but seeks assistance when needed

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; work collaboratively to make necessary decisions and respond to emergency situations effectively
