Chemical manufacturer in Chicago is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing performance of production equipment as well as facilities maintenance. Experience with liquid filling lines highly preferred, or similar experience with pumping and piping equipment or mixing tanks. Previous supervisory experience required. This position will also be in charge of enforcing safety measures at the plant. Minimum Associates degree required, engineering or chemical preferred.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance team of 2 and oversee performance of all production equipment

• Oversee facility maintenance and repairs

• Assist with and oversee repairs on the production line equipment

• Work with the plant manager to ensure occupational health and safety measures are upheld and monitor facility metrics relating to safety

Requirements:

• Demonstrated first-hand knowledge of production equipment, liquid manufacturing, PLCs, facility maintenance, preventive maintenance

• Knowledge of liquids or chemical manufacturing and associated equipment: pumps, liquid blending, pneumatics

• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, liquid or chemical preferred

• Ability to work with FDA, EPA regulations

• Must be able to read blueprints, procedural manuals and maintenance instructions

• Associates degree preferred, will consider experience in lieu of degree

• Previous supervisory experience required

• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems

• Working knowledge of MS Office software
