Western Union Senior Information Cyber Security Analyst in Denver, Colorado

Define, implement, and maintain cyber security practices and technologies to ensure appropriate protection of company data. Utilize knowledge of industry standards, security frameworks, and relevant regulations. Conduct Risk Assessments of information systems and suppliers utilizing strong policy and process knowledge, as well as skills and expertise with a variety of technologies. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Asses third party suppliers of outsourced services. Partner with sales organization to support client inquiries of company cyber security posture. Manage remediation plans associated with issues identified in the environment. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system, security tool, or modification of an existing system. Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as security elements pertaining to software system design or maintenance. Utilize change management practices including DevOps techniques, Cloud, and On-premises infrastructure. Oversee and monitor Junior Staff for quality output and timeliness of deliverables. Provide guidance, mentorship and feedback to Junior staff facilitating understanding of cyber security practices and adherence to process. Partial telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to Western Union, LLC, 7001 E Belleview Ave, Denver, CO 80237. Salary: $90,150 – $150,250 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of professional experience IT Security Analyst, Systems Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving Cyber security or Risk Management.

Must also have the following special skills:

2 years of professional experience utilizing IT and Cyber security Infrastructure concepts to safeguard from internal threats and mitigations measures; 2 years of professional experience assessing cyber security risk; 2 years of professional experience conducting risk assessment; and 2 years of professional experience developing governance documentation and controls aligned to industry standards, security frameworks, and relevant regulations.

Referral Bonus - $500 (Subject to Employee Referral Policy). Eligible to internal employees only.

Annual base salary gross:  $90,150 – $150,250 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
