Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and external-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to lead complex and large transformative initiatives aimed to modernize the digital e-commerce customer experience at Cardinal Health. As digital solutions and processes are core to modernization, the program will be asked to continuously stay up to date with modern delivery techniques, customer driven requirements and an API driven architecture while executing the program in a number of agile and product teams.

This role will be responsible for developing and managing strategy for various testing activities of the program. Additionally, this role will lead and maintain test strategy, plans, execution artifacts such as test scripts, defect management, data validations, automation, performance, operational readiness (systems, application..).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overall test strategy, test plans including tools, processes and testing methodologies mapped to the program schedule to support various testing activities (some include End to End, Integration, Functional, UAT, Regression, Performance, Operational Readiness ..).

  • Partners with Product Owners, Project Managers and other stakeholders to provide weekly/bi-weekly test execution health reports. Leads action plans to drive focus, prioritization and manages work for the team to align with the project timelines.

  • Establish and drives continued focus on improving test automation, test data management, data access, UAT processes and standards across the program. Must be well versed with testing, test automation frameworks for various device types (browser, mobile ..).

  • Partners with Agile team facilitators, Product owners, Project managers, Test leads in establishing and managing the processes for validation and signoff of test results including proper documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.

  • Oversee the test execution progress and manage processes for test case creation, defect management, defect prioritization, KPI's to measure data quality, performance, entry/exit criteria for different environments and documentation meeting CAH standards.

  • Frequently assesses the workload and priorities to ensure right focus is kept on different areas of the testing workstreams within the program. Must be flexible to adjust the plans and refine testing needs (staffing, prioritization ..) aligning to the program priorities.

  • Partners closely with cross functional business & IT teams (Product Owners, Sales, Ops, Communication, Compliance, Regulatory, IT Service Center, SAP, Middleware, OCM ..) in test planning, execution. Ensure appropriate test coverage and staffing plans are in place for successful completion.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in Software Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions preferred

  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Advance Degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience managing/leading testing teams. Must have prior experience leading teams working globally.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines and quality standards.

  • Ability to develop individuals and teams

  • Thorough understanding of software testing methodologies and processes. Functional, Performance, Non-Functional

  • Experience with agile project methodology and other tools such as JIRA, Gherkin, BDD

  • Exposure to test automation using Rest Assured/SOAPUI/Postman or other API automation frameworks, other tools Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, and/or Newman

Anticipated salary range: $119,800 - $179,655
