Robert Half Litigation Counsel in Denver, Colorado

Description

Robert Half is offering a contract opportunity for a Litigation Counsel in the construction/contractor industry, based in Denver, Colorado with one of our clients. The role primarily involves overseeing various litigation aspects such as construction defects, employment, contracts, and coordinating with the risk management department regarding insurance claims.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction defect, employment, contract, and other claims.

• Coordinate with the Risk Management department in handling insurance claims.

• Assist in the preparation of minutes, resolutions, and updates of corporate policies.

• Perform legal research as necessary and provide advice on employment matters.

• Provide oversight and advice on the creation of marketing materials.

• Review contracts and agreements, ensuring legal compliance.

• Assist in the implementation of corporate policies, including the Code of Conduct.

• Use Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, and other necessary software to manage litigation cases.

• Negotiate contracts and manage civil litigation cases.

• Utilize knowledge in Corporate Law, Construction Defect, Employment Law, and Legal risk for effective case management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience with litigation.

• Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software.

• Demonstrable experience in Civil Litigation, Employment Litigation, and construction defect.

• Skilled in Contract Negotiation and Reviewing Contracts.

• Comprehensive understanding of Corporate Law, Employment Law, and Employment Policies.

• Proven track record in ensuring Legal Compliance.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing Legal Documentation.

• Exceptional Legal Research skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate Legal Risks.

• Must hold a valid license to practice law.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
