About the Job:Corrections is a uniformed service and one of the largest branches of law enforcement.Correctional officers are responsible for overseeing individuals lawfully committed to the Caroline County Detention Center in accordance with State and Federal regulations. EOE.
Essential Duties: Maintains security and control over inmates Conducts routine inspections and counts Escorts inmates throughout the facility Ensure compliance with all other County rules and regulations Performs other related duties as required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and A high school graduate or G.E.D. Must possess a valid Maryland Drivers License Ability to learn and follow detailed procedures and orders Ability to work under potentially dangerous circumstances Ability to meet essential physical functions
Upon employment offer, applicants will be subject to a substance abuse test, physical exam, psychological evaluation, and complete background investigation. EOE Salary: State Certified $46,665 - $55,587/Annual* Non-Certified $42,931/Annual* *Includes scheduled overtime for a normal worked schedule Deadline: April 16, 2024
