The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Tax Specialist for Benelux you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Being the tax contact for all tax related topics in Benelux

• Build and maintain internal relationships and support with external counsel and local tax authorities

• Support in Tax compliance, Tax accounting including US and Local GAAP (UTP recognition, tax reconciliations), Cash tax management and forecasting

• Supporting in cross-functional projects related to as example SAP-deployment, M&A-projects, tax optimization or a Tax Control Framework in the defined Region

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Degree in Tax, Finance or Accounting

• Experience in a tax specialist role

• Willingness to develop further on international tax issues (VAT, withholding taxes, mergers & acquisition, organizational restructuring, investments involving location management)

• Knowledge of tax accounting according to US GAAP and local GAAP (Belgium, Netherlands)

• Knowledge of SAP-ERP System

• Some flexibility to travel within the region, in particular Delft (Netherlands), Diegem (Belgium) and Neuss (Germany)

• Fluent in English and Dutch

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

• A CPA, qualified Tax Advisor or similar certification with focus on taxation

• Experience with Big 4 CPA firms or tax/accounting function of Multi-national manufacturing companies
