Job Description:

Transportation Recording Clerk II – Decatur, IL

This is a full-time, non-exempt level position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process LTL and/or truckload invoices in various systems: Paper, EDI, Web, Maximo/Coupa

  • Responsible for averaging freight payments within 15-30 days

  • Maintain working relationships with contracted carriers

  • Run and review various error reports on a weekly basis

  • Manage incoming calls regarding open freight and past dues on accounts

  • Work with various Business Units to resolve rate, invoicing, and system discrepancies

  • Prioritize daily work to keep carrier accounts within pay terms

  • Work with GBS MDM team to confirm vendors are up to date and active

  • Collaborate with Truck Traffic and Logistics Coordinators to ensure loads meet system requirements

  • Review and add accessorials to Sugar, Oil, and Ethanol logs weekly

  • Address emails and aging reports from carriers in a timely manner

  • Sort and process incoming mail

  • Scan and save documents

Above tasks must be completed as stated above. Duties are subject to change and list does not include all responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • H.S. diploma or GED required plus minimum of 2 years equivalent general office/accounting experience preferred

  • Excellent data entry, keyboard, multi-line telephone and ten key skills

  • Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures is required

  • Attention to detail and the ability to locate discrepancies are essential for this position

  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Knowledge of Maximo, OPGO, CICS, and IMS systems preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
