MRA - The Management Association Pricing Analyst in Dayton, Ohio

Job Title: Pricing Analyst Company: Triad Technologies Location: Vandalia, OH Position Overview The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the analysis of customer data and the management of Triad's information system for pricing, including its continuous improvement and optimization. Maintains and tracks key performance indicators and maintains companywide dashboards. Tracks, analyzes and reports on performance metrics, ratio of attainment (ROA) and the basis for pricing overrides. Support the methodology for creating baseline pricing. Implements standard deviations for price points developed from unbiased research using a mix of strategies that assess costs, competitors, market positions and overall value. Researches competitor pricing schemes, leads market analysis studies, investigates rationale behind historical pricing, and consults with internal team members as part of the decision-making process for determining pricing models that support profitability and contribution margin targets. Reviews annual customer spend and exception pricing; participates in the rationalization process for continuing discounts based on volume sizes outside of established ranges. Serves as a liaison between Triad Technologies, third party service providers, and Epicor/Prophet 21. Assists with coordinating the exchange of information, end-user support, and the escalation of technical issues to the appropriate support team. Sets up and inputs product groups and price files for new product lines and suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing. Maintains pricing codes and works with Purchasing to upload supplier updates ensuring the integrity of the system's data including special pricing programs, structure, new item set-up, and sales groupings. Ensures Epicor/Prophet 21 data for customer types/sizes, product families, discount multipliers, core product status, price pages, and freight charges remain up-to-date and aligned with the business model. Manages Epicor/Prophet 21 annual data refresh; coordinates transfer of invoices for the 12-month period to the company's third-party pricing analyst for analysis; reviews multipliers versus list pricing recommendations, identifies anomalies and adjusts pricing. Provides final multipliers for all discounted categories. Communicates price adjustments to all stakeholders and updates Epicor/Prophet 21 files as required. Identify and partner on a variety of continuous improvement initiatives for streamlining processes. Supports acquisition activities through execution of plan data migration, integrated pricing strategies, and ensuring data is cleansed of errors and the system and is tested to identify any conversion issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or similar technical/analytical degree. MBA preferred. 3 years of work experience in a Business Intelligence, Pricing, Finance, or similar analytical role Demonstrate solid mathematical aptitude and comfort with numbers Experience with profitability modeling Demonstrated skills in Excel, Power BI with preferred experience in Access, SQL, P21 ERP system Excellent financial modeling skills with a high attention to detail Excellent communications skills with the ability to educate and influence both verbally and in writing Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage large sets of information and data Team player who works within the team to accomplish mutual goals We Make it Easy Founded in 1901, MRA is a nonprofit employer association that serves more than 4,000 employers, covering more than one million employees.
