This is a Remote position, with preference in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Job Summary:

This position provides broad HR support to people leaders across a designated client group. Support provided includes: conflict resolution, performance management, policy and law interpretation, manager effectiveness training, compensation counseling, talent management and other HR related matters as required. The purpose of this position is to enhance the employee overall experience with our company through improved individual people leader effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as HR subject matter experts providing HR counsel to people leaders

  • Creates positive change in people leader capabilities through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills

  • Responsible for supporting managers in the execution of HR strategies and programs that support business and corporate goals

  • Works closely with Managers and HR Leaders of the organization to build credible relationships allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness

  • Develops and facilitates manager effectiveness training utilizing both, in-person and remote formats

  • Engages in overall talent practices including workforce planning, success profiling, on-boarding, talent development and management, retention, and engagement programs for people leaders

  • Coaches and counsels managers on talent management practices, addressing questions and helping them navigate the process through the use of the talent management system

  • Ensures compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws

  • Provides feedback and assistance in updating policies and procedures when necessary.

  • Works with managers on all compensation related matters including off-cycle adjustments, promotions, demotions, and spot awards.

  • Analyzes and interprets HR related data to assist with management decision making

  • Understands business priorities and links HR action plans with business needs

  • Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also seeing opportunities to increase engagement

  • Facilitates talent stewardship through communication and training on HR practices and processes

  • Works with legal and managers in matters of termination of employees; addresses employee relations issues, such as allegations, complaints, or other concerns brought up from employees

  • Demonstrates awareness of the cross-cultural impact of HR processes; coaches managers on the positive impact of a progressive, diverse, and inclusive work environment

  • Regularly participates in business discussions and decisions with managers

  • Acts as employee advocate through effective labor and employee relations

  • Facilitates conflict resolution activities and assists people leaders through process

  • Works with managers to interpret employee engagement results, develop action plans and provide guidance on implementing changes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience: 3 –7 years of HR generalist experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality and good judgement.

  • Broad HR knowledge, including: compensation and benefits, employee relations, recruiting, local and federal law knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of the organization

  • Detail-orientated, organized, with a strong sense of urgency

  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a team, with excellent project management

  • Self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.

  • Preferred experienced and knowledge in HRMS and other HR Systems; PeopleSoft experience a plus

  • Preferred SPHR/PHR certificate

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Percentage of Travel: 5%

Base Compensation Range is $68,800 to $91,200
