Description Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative Public Accounting company. We're looking for people who are driven by a challenging work environment with many components. You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role is for someone who wants to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every day

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Prepare state and federal tax returns

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries Requirements - Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Solid understanding of Corporate Income Tax

• Corporate Tax Return experience preferred

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
