Description Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Formulas

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Great attention to detail

• Current and relevant ERP system experience

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
