Job Description:

Responsible for leading a special asset management business for a Private Bank Group region or department. Assists in developing and implementing strategic objectives for a Specialty Asset Management (SAM) line of business with respect to revenue production and relationship, new business and technical support. Direct coaching and development responsibility. Responsible for pro-rata piece of SAM revenue/expense plan.

The Specialty Asset Management Oil and Gas Group is one of the largest corporate fiduciaries providing trust and investment management services for wealth management clients that own or inherit non-operated mineral and working interests.

Responsibilities:

The Oil and Gas Regional Manager, Petroleum Engineering will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and geologists while also providing technical expertise and recommendations to oil and gas asset managers and clients. The team is responsible for:

  • Preparing net income projections and fair market value appraisals

  • Reviewing joint interest billings and authority for expenditures (AFEs)

  • Reviewing and analyzing joint operating agreements, unitization agreements, and farmout agreements

  • Environmental inspections for working interest operations

  • Evaluating unsolicited offers to lease or acquire certain client properties

  • Providing industry and market analysis and forecasts

  • Reporting and analysis of portfolio performance

  • Managing certain working interest portfolios

Required Qualifications:

· Petroleum engineering degree or other applicable engineering degree (BA/BS degree required);

· Minimum of 10 years of petroleum engineering experience with strong background in reservoir or production engineering and property evaluation

· Prior management/supervisory experience preferred

· Proficient in PHDWin and other petroleum economic evaluation software

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral

· Effective team player who wants to work in a collaborative environment to build working relationships with clients and across the organization.

· A high touch, client-focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills

· Highly skilled in multi-tasking and managing priorities effectively

Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
