Texas Health Resources Lead Mammographer--Full time Days in Dallas, Texas

Lead RAD Mammographer

Radiology Breast Center department is looking for a Lead RAD Mammographer. Is that you?

Work location : Texas Health Dallas Margot Perot Building, 8160 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full-Time/40hr weekdays and occasional weekends

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED

EDUCATION

· Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or

· Associate Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

· 2 Years’ experience in mammography required and

· Year digital experience preferred

· QC Mammographer required

· Team Lead experience preferred

· Accreditation (ACR) and MQSA inspections experience preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

· ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography upon hire required and

· CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Direct Patient Care:

· Performs mammograms and diagnostic radiographs.

· Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines.

Quality Assurance/Control:

· Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities.

· Mammography: Phantom images, visual inspections, compression checks, screen contract, peer reviews, monthly check list for all mammography units.

· Equipment Maintenance:

· Diagnostic Radiology: Visual inspections for the R F, Tomo, mammo rooms and apron and glove leak checks, screen contact, peer review and technologist peer review.

Non-Direct Patient Care:

· Documentation: Accurately enters patient data in RIS system for patient tracking and patient exam verification (billing of exam).

· Training, Education, and Team Support:

· Assists in implementing and monitoring performance evaluation procedures, establishing professional development goals,
