The L&D Coach role provides strong leadership and classroom presence across North America. You will be responsible for facilitating virtual and in-person learning experiences to support Worldwide Operations leader development. As a Leadership Coach, you will deliver courses and group activities for classes ranging up to 1,500 people.

This position will regularly deliver our weekly Onboarding Program and Mastery programs. They will work alongside other Program Managers, Learning Business Partners, and Operations teams in order to execute holistic solutions considering both learning and business needs. In addition to assisting in developing the coaching and facilitation skills for other members of the team, this role also plays a critical role in helping to prepare and provide feedback to regional business presenters supporting programs. Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver our instructor-led classes and programs (in person or virtual), with a heavy focus on our Onboarding program. Must be able to facilitate high quality learner-focused programs which have informative content and engaging learning techniques and environment.

  • Upskill, train, coach, and provide feedback to business presenters to ensure that these colleagues can deliver the same high quality training so that customers receive the appropriate learning outcomes.

  • Partner with key customers and stakeholders (Program Managers, Learning Business Partners, and Operations and HR Leaders) in order to assess, understand, and provide support towards a number of different leadership development training programs.

  • Identify, scope, and deliver individual and team-based projects to better suit the changing needs of the business and our customers.

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret data, feedback, and results of training to assess level of competency gained in order to provide and communicate updates to stakeholders in addition to developing training sessions and products through continuous improvement.

  • Develop products and solutions through independent and collaborative projects in order to address the fast-paced and dynamic needs of the business.

  • Up to 50 % travel required

The Leader Coaching Team (LCT) coaches and develops leaders to effectively grow their skills and capabilities alongside the growth of the business. We are continuous development experts dedicated to the engagement, growth, and retention of L4-L8 WWOps leaders. Our global, long-term approach to coaching and facilitation provides business-critical development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business, education, instructional design, or organizational development.

  • 3 years classroom (in-person and/or virtual) facilitation experience

  • Experience and ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues to preserve the learning experience.

  • Analytical skills and experience using data to make business decisions and manage training efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development or Instructional Design is preferred.

  • Operational experience, either inside or outside Amazon.

  • Experience with learning management systems (KNet, Thinking Cap) or other online virtual learning platforms.

  • Program and project management skills.

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills (oral & written), and interpersonal skills to comfortably and confidently present to large audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
