Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The strongest candidates for this position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The strongest candidates for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position will be self-starters with high attention to detail, ready to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Dallas, Texas area.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

• Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

• Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

• Verify documents and codes

• Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization

• Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

• Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Strong familiarity with Charge Posting

• General familiarity with Wholesale distribution

• Experience with cash applications

• Posting Payments experience

• Well-founded grasp of Epicor Erp

• 10 Key Skills experience

• Proven knowledge of B2B collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Great attention to detail

• ERP system experience
