The Accounting Operations Supervisor oversees the company’s revenue accounting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Location: 12404 Park Central Drive, Dallas, TX
Please note this is not a telecommute/remote position; candidate(s) must be located in the location noted 1-2 days/week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Supervises the revenue accounting function including cash receipts, commission paid (AP), and overdue invoices
Oversees the tracking, monitoring, and collecting of aging accounts receivable
Approve broker payouts to be sent to Accounts Payable
Responsible for the processing of cash and how is impacts the company’s revenue recognition process
Responds to inquiries regarding accounts receivable policies and procedures
Respond to brokers on payment calculation inquiries
Prepares periodic and special accounts receivable reports
Recommends changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts receivable function
Performs management responsibilities in accordance with company policies including: interviews, selects, trains, coaches, and counsels direct reports.
Conducts employee performance evaluations
Maintains high level of open communication and morale within the department
Develops and monitors budgets for functional area
Prepares monthly reports
Lead, delegate, and mentor others
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field or equivalent education and related training
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to define problems and persuasively present conclusions
Developing leadership within an organization as a result of high integrity, intellectual clarity and a passion for excellence
Strong results orientation, which includes meeting commitments and targeted/required delivery dates
Excellent critical and conceptual thinking, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years related accounting experience; 2+ years management experience
Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing
Experience with computerized accounting systems
A seasoned track record of successfully building and leading high-performance payroll team
Read, comprehend, and interpret complex financial documents
Resolve complex administrative and financial problems
Develop and maintain good relationships within the financial group and with clients
Provide leadership and promote cooperation in a team environment
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
