Apple’s Platform Architecture team is looking for a senior technical leader to collaborate with system hardware, software, and SoC teams in the development of high-performance scalable compute platforms.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong technical background in computer system architecture and algorithm development

  • Experience profiling workloads that scale with large, distributed computing including ML inference and training

  • Experience driving large-scale compute platforms using complex, high-performance SoC designs

  • Experience applying a diverse set of SoC compute accelerators including GPU, NPU, Vector Floating point, video codec, and network processing.

  • Strong communication skills with experience advising and presenting system concepts to senior executives and cross-functional partners.

  • Established connections to university research teams with focus on emerging computer systems technology and algorithm development

Description

As a Computer Systems Architect, you will: - Collaborate with system hardware, software, and SoC teams in the development of high-performance scalable compute platforms. - Coordinate and drive discussions on cross functional topics related to distributed compute and associated workloads. - Develop specifications and requirements for compute system performance, cost, and scalability - Analyze state of academic research and advise on potential university partnerships and technology development opportunities.

Education & Experience

B.S. and a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $279,300.00 and $446,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
