Copeland Engineering Standards Lead in Cudahy, Wisconsin

If you are an Engineering Standards Lead looking to grow, Copeland has an opportunity for you! Based in our Cudahy, WI location, reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Standards Lead will be responsible for leading the engineering and manual coordinator teams. The Engineering Standards Team Lead is part of a diverse team consisting of engineers, project managers, and designers in Vilter's production engineering team. You will develop and detail standard processes for engineering document handling, while collaborating with other teams to improve organizational procedures.

Success in this position requires working efficiently in collaborative and independent environments. Good interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with a broad range of customers. Leading the team to achieve high-quality output at the best possible pace is the overall goal for this position.

As an ENGINEERING STANDARDS LEAD, You Will:

  • Use strong leadership skills to lead your team to successful results

  • Manage a team of engineering and manuals coordinators

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

  • Manage shop folder creation and content

  • Ensure accurate distribution of engineering documents

  • Be responsible for department metric definition, tracking, and analysis for improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement projects that affect multiple departments

  • Work with customers and vendors to improve document handling

  • Support Oracle ERP item creation and maintenance

  • Ensure accurate completion of Engineer to Order manuals and data books

  • Encourage efforts to map, define, optimize, and document processes

Who You Are:

You seek ways to improve processes, from small tweaks to complete reengineering. You establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results. You establish and maintain effective customer relationships, building and delivering solutions that meet customer needs

Schedule:

The facility works 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Experience in an engineering organization

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

  • Leadership experience, either through direct supervision or influence.

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Oracle experience
