DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Operations Accounting Manager, SAP Locations, you will support the businesses by providing accurate and timely data and analysis related to product costs, manufacturing and distribution operations, and variances. You will manage the operations accounting activities for US locations for the Protective and Marine Coatings (PMC), Specialty Coatings & Materials and Architectural Coatings business units within the Global Business Finance Support organization. You will report to the Sr. Manager Operations Accounting.

Key Responsibilities * Lead 4 direct reports and total team of 15 people through coaching, goal setting, training and standardization of duties and tasks, collaboration and implementation of process improvements. * Guide the team and support the business in an environment that requires flexibility and changing priorities. * Partner with SBU finance leadership, manufacturing leadership and supply chain leadership for multiple business units to provide meaningful financial analysis to drive results. * Complete month end close activities related to manufacturing and distribution operations and preparation of internal management reporting. * Provide the business with estimates, variance analysis and profit analysis related to distribution costs, manufacturing results and variances, purchase price variance, period costs and strategic initiatives. * Manage all inventory accounts including trend analysis, monthly account reconciliation approvals, cycle count reporting, physical inventory audits, and physical inventory reconciliation approvals. * Complete the annual budget and quarterly product re-costs to support accurate inventory valuation and business decisions focused on product profitability. * Maintain internal controls and support internal and external audit activities. * Be prepared to take on other tasks or duties as required by our organization or as assigned by the manager by adapting to changing priorities

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 7+ years of finance and accounting experience with exposure to manufacturing / plant accounting preferred. * Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred. * Travel to manufacturing plant locations on a quarterly basis. * Technical proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle or SAP is preferred.
