Description

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in Covington, Washington. The role involves managing a team of tax preparers, providing guidance and mentorship, and serving as the face of the company to high-level clients. The Tax Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of tax returns for both individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 7 tax preparers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their work

• Serve as a key point of contact for high-level individual and business clients, providing excellent customer service

• Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns for both individuals and businesses

• Work closely with the principal to ensure company metrics are met

• Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and UltraTax to manage client accounts

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

• Handle entity formation and income tax accounting tasks

• Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Regularly monitor customer credit accounts and take action to collect delinquent payments

• Manage all accounting functions within the company.

The salary range for this position is $110k - $170k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 4% match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively

• Auditing skills

• A CPA and/or EA is required

• Compliance management capabilities

• Experience in Entity Formation

• Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting
