Role Summary
Here at Parker Meggitt, we’re looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to work at our Holbrooks site in Coventry 5 days a week. In this hands-on role, you will be creating, enacting, and updating job safety programmes for employees that encompass government health and safety regulations as well as company standards for safety in the workplace.
You'll be responsible for HSE management system standard compliance, including arranging, organising and complying with internal and external audits, conducting risk assessments and close-out of all actions and findings.
Core Responsibilities
Preparing and delivering HSE training for employees
Reporting and investigating incidents in a timely manner
Providing internal and external reporting as appropriate for key HSE metrics and KPI’s
Preparing and where required delivering site HSE briefings
Collating all accident records and reporting any accidents reportable under RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)
Issuing UC/NM reports (Unsafe Condition/Near Miss Report) numbers and monitoring accident/incident database
Assisting with HSE incident investigation reports as required
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Hands-on experience in processes safety - reviewing end-to-end processes of high risk activity
HSE experience within Manufacturing
Solid risk assessment writing
Proven ability to gather, research and analyse data, as well as preparing into report format
Good presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, multi-task and work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task
Desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Internet
Experience of working in a high-risk environment
Experience of working in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry
