Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The main responsibilities will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Costa Mesa, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.

What you get to do every day

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

• Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

• Implement full-cycle A/P

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Foundational knowledge in auditing

• Adeptness in Benefit Functions

• Hands-on experience with Licensure

• Incentive Bonus experience desired

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems

• Experience with Mainframe Application

• Good understanding of accruals

• Medical Coverage experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Trial Operations

• Lawson experience preferred

• Comprehension of Vendor Account

• Background working with dental

• Previous experience working with Full Cycle

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Earlier work involving Quickbooks Online

• Approval Process experience highly valued

• Comprehensive knowledge of data entry

• Prior experience with commissions

• Practical knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• General familiarity with Ensure Accuracy

• Resolve Discrepancies experience highly preferred

• Strong familiarity with Invoice
